Hello Families, We have been learning about shapes! A shape hunt both inside and outside, had the students searching high and low for different real world representations of 2D and 3D shapes. We learned the names for many 2D shapes and 3D objects as well as how many faces, edges and vertices each shape has. This helped each student to create 'Who Am I?' for a chosen shape. Each student covered the drawing of their chosen shape with a sticky note and wrote down 2-3 statements about their shape. They then shared them with the class, it was quite fun to hear the students try to guess what shapes matched the statements! In Science, we have continued to learn about Animal. This week we focused on Life Cycles and Adaptations. Show your child a photo of an animal and ask them what type of adaptations it has! We enjoyed a visit from The Honey Merchants.
